Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga bears an incredible resemblance to Muhammad Ali, the former world boxing champ. The thing is Tsonga is a professional tennis player.

During his spare time at the Masters Series in Hamburg, Germany, the 14 seed Tsonga took some time to get into a ring with the World Boxing Association’s heavyweight champion Ruslan Chagaev.

He was not there to get a whopping though but a few boxing lessons. The 23-year-old then had a few rounds with the current WBA monarch who must defend his belt next July 5 from Nicolay Valuev, in Halle, Germany.

“It was very good. It was a pleasure to be able to box with him. I was able to give a few good shots and I learned a tremendous amount about this sport. It was good to see how other sports work and it is very interesting to see what qualities are required to play them,” the French tennis player was quoted as saying.

Tsonga surprised many in the last Australian Open when he reached the final and this was where the world saw his remarkable resemblance to the American world boxing champ.

However, in Hamburg, the Frenchman did not have an equally good time. He fell off in the second round against Sweden’s Robin Soderling.
